Red face Quick Questions on VMR 19" fitment on S4

    Hi,

I just got my brand new S4 last week. I am wondering which offset fits the B8 S4 better? I am stock with stock height and not planning to lower it.

    Should I get 19x8.5 +38 or 19x8.5 +45?

What is the recommended tire size? Should I get 255/35/19 or 245/40/19. The 245 has a $40 difference each.

Finally, is there a TMPS on the 2011 S4? Because if there is one, I would have to unmount my OEM wheels and swap the TMPS onto my VMR. If there isn't any I can just purchase the wheels with tires mounted.

    Thanks in advance.

I put on the VMR 708 wheels, but they are 18" diameter, by 8.5" wide rims and ET=38mm. VMR said the ET=45mm might not clear the suspension on these wheels. I am using stock size tires 245/40R18.

The offset depends on wheels width and tire size. One can use spacers if the wheels rub the suspension.

There are no TMPS, it is calculated from the ABS sensors and wheel rotation speed.

I guess the stock 19" tires are 255/35ZR19 (26.1" diameter, 10.3" section width), but the 245/40/19 (25.7" diameter, 9.8" section width) would provide more clearance.

The guys at VMR may be able to provide guidance on the offset.

18x8.5 et 38 would be nice on a 255 or 245, you can run either without much problem. I would run some spacers in the rear atleast. You could even run 5mm front and 10mm rear.

You should run the 19X8.5 et38. I run 19" VMR V718's in 8.5 width in et35 (stick 3mm further out) without any issues. The tire size is 255/35/19 and as mentioned, B8 S4 wheels do not have TMPS sensors (it's indirect from the ABS system).
