I suggest you check out the past history of PES superchargers on this website...people are less than thrilled. I doubt you'll find many people to get in on the buy.

But yea I'll pass on buying into what I consider one of the biggest scam/ripoffs/lies/embarrassment/disappointments/etc the audi community has seen to date by a company that seems perfectly okay with that approach. My opinion of course, but based on facts that we had to gather since PES was unwilling to provide them and then they refuse to really acknowledge the answers we've found.

Well if you exclude the PES R8 that basically screwed, then the Se blower might be one of the worst campaign's for a product:

Via 6speedonline.com about the R8 s/c with PES. The thread is talking about the Evoms TT for the R8, and then someone brought up the older SC options and then this guy popped up.

I believe it was a PES Charger, I saw him on the track a few times and it seemed as if it was constantly causing him problems and never really worked IMO.

No offer to help me out, other than a few recommendations over the phone on what I can have a local tech/tuner try. No offer to reimburse me for all the time I spent having things diagnosed and fixed.

I did not have a warranty, I did not have a guarantee. That is my harsh lesson learned.

If I were PES, I would have flown my ass over here and fixed the problem. A flight from Philly to Seattle would have been worth risking the reputation. I was the third car they did, and they knew I would generate some exposure from the forums as well as from it being so visible on the local tracks here (hence, how you and NorthVan can vouch for the issues I've had). I don't get it.


EVOMS has been awesome the entire way through. The quality of the work, the research, the knowledge, the experience they have with Porsche and now with Gumpert. I could not have a better project partner.

From the Horses Mouth as i figured.. Sucks to hear that you got that type of treatment man.. Many shops today have no backbone.. Once they collect the $$$ they go on to the next customer and never look back or follow up to make sure your satisfied..

I'm cool with pat he's a good guy to me atleast. He hooked ne up in te past. And tol me if I find people to buy stuff that he would pay me 2-5% to start off amid it's a good outcome up to 10%
from which I was going to reinburse you guys.

I did no research on pes just relied on in person relations.
I personally do not have 1 bad thing to say about pat or any of the other guy.

As you can see i am a b5 guy know a couple b6 a4 guys with the kits with no problems. But I am not forcing you guys to do anything just wanted to offer a small discount.

FWIW, I've had a PES blower on my 3.0 since July 07, no problems. That said, would I buy a PES M90 kit? No.

there's a local B6 S4 who was running a PES supercharger kit.... He actually blew his motor (cracked the dam piston in half!). He had to get a new engine..... He has had soo many problems with his PES supercharger kit....

1) I kinda feel bad for this dude. For a B5 guy, he probably wasn't aware that their 4.2 shit is shit. Besides, how many people know enough about superchargers to know whether one model is of a correct size for their motor? I bet at least half of supercharger kit owners didn't really do that sort of research, especially since there often isn't more than one or two kits out there for a given make/model of import car. He didn't know better, so I cut him a little slack. Not a lot, just a little

2) PES is NOT the worst scam in 4.2 history. I think that easily goes to Motodyne, hmm? At least PES will send you something, and it will even resemble what you paid for. Plus, if you buy a 4.2 PES s/c kit, at least you're not throwing away more money than your car is worth.
