Is it to Raspy? (Video of Exhaust)

I have this stock exhaust with resonators deleted on my car, I'm just wondering what you guys think about this exhaust sound, I'm planning to install magnaflow 14851 mufflers, any suggestions or advises?

yeah, no offense man but that sounds pretty bad.

Magnaflows should make it better. I would do some bullet freeflow resonators too if you feel like being able to hear yourself think from inside the car.

A bit raspy but not bad(I guess coming from a boxer engine to me it's not THAT bad). But yeah, the Magnaflow's should clean that up.

sounds horrible. kind of like you just hacked up your stock exhaust...oh wait....lol

even the magnaflows with stock piping sound pretty raspy. you need to get proper 2.5 inch piping preferably with an x-pipe

I'm also looking to buy used Fast Intention or Milltek Exhaust system, let me know if someone selling their's. Fast Intention cost around $1100-$1200 new so I'm thinking it's maybe not worth to spend $500 for magnaflow mufflers with installation.

Yuck... Sounds really bad. Mufflers won't fix that mess. Save the money for a FI, Labree or even Milltek catback.

A lot of exhausts sound raspy when cold. Resonators help a lot. An x-pipe will smooth it out too.

Well thats what the car shoulds like with no res.. It sounds unappealing to me.. I would deff look for updating the system... As long as it has an X and its 2.5 your all good

My buddy got the 14851's installed on his 3.0 B6 A4, sounds really good. Would probably sound better on an S4... IMO, save up for the full cat

imo, F.I. for performance, or corsa for sound.

Can't question your taste much, but frankly I doubt F.I. has any performance advantages over Corsa given that they're so similar on paper. I think F.I. or Corsa for performance, either one depending on your taste for sound (If its a B7. B6 goes by default to F.I. as I don't think there is a Corsa designed for it, although it wouldn't be hard to weld on a single exhaust tip in place of the dual's as the muffler's have a single outlet and a Y-split tips)

A good exhaust shop can build you an aluminzed steel system with 2.5" piping, and x pipe, 2 resonators and magnaflow 14851 mufflers for less than any of the over priced silly stainless systems available. Polished system are absolutely stupid. Why do you care about the pipe being shiny?

I was under the impression any downpipes that can fit an auto will also fit a manual, but pipes that fit a manual will not fit an auto due to the manual transmission being smaller.

I installed the Milltek cat back Exhaust, "Blackstallion" gave me this exhaust for free, Thank You so much Adam!!! You're awesome!!!!! I love the sound, now there's no more rasp and what I like about this exhaust is that it's not to loud and not to quiet.

I have the Corsa catback on my B7 and couldnt be happier. Makes my S sound angry when I get on it, Yet still very civilized when just cruising around town
