I usually go to discount tires for my mazda b/c they pricematch any online price i find.

however, it's my mazda and i don't really care about it.

i want road hazard protection since tires for s5 are expensive. i'm planning to go with michelin ps2s or ps3s (don't know the difference b/w them).

where do you guys get new tires put on? discount tire? audi dealer? costco?

    thanks

I used to go to Costco until they said we couldn't because the tires weren't purchased there(Even though the tires are brand new with the stickers still on). I usually buy them at Tire Rack and have them put on at Purcell tire. Not sure if you have them in TX. or not. Actually I just checked online and they do have them in Austin, and Dayton, TX.

it done at any full service shop.

I've never had any issues with Discount Tire. They sell most popular brands, plus they are really good about their warranty.

    Discount Tire.....

They rotate for free....fix nail holes for free, etc....I have bought alot from them in the past, but nothing in the last 3 or 4 years ** they must have me in their system as a good customer since they never charge me for the small maintenance things

I have bought tires online from Tirerack & Discount tires..etc. If the local tire shops (STS, Tirebarn) are close in price I go local just because I need it installed anyway and if I ever had a problem I deal with it locally. Road hazard is great and they rotate your tires for free this was a huge benefit with my wife's SUV. With 20" tires I was unable to get road hazard =( But when I had the blow out with the Hankooks the company automatically replace it for free with in the first 25% no matter what.

Another vote for Tire Rack, and especially with their drop-ship option to a local "approved" tire service center to do the mounting and baancing. I've atually used them to ship tires to my local Bridgestone/Firestone shop, who then do the installation at very reasonable prices. Check out the recommended installer section of their web site:
