GIAC VS. APR VS. REVO for AUDI B7 2007 2.0T Quattro (Tiptronic)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello Everyone,

As of right now I have a stock Audi B7 Quattro tiptronic. However I am trying to decide which flash I should go with. I am trying to figure out which software is overall the best for daily driving and which is safe for my transmission. For now I will be installing A.W.E Quad Exhaust with ATP 3" Test Pipe, and KN Airfilter. Later on I will be installing a coldair, DV, FMIC, and HPFP. Can someone please give me a non baised opinion on which software I should go with? Which software would provide smooth driveability with optimum power gains? Any input will help..

Non-biased? How? REVO FTMFW! But honestly, you'll either want REVO or APR. No need to look any further than that.

how many fucking times do we have to cover this shit. read posts from other people, look around the forum, google shit. its amazing what it can do for you....

also your never going to get a non biased opinion on this site. we are all childish shits who believe anything we have is better than anyone else...

but the most important beyond any tuner is how close and accessible the shop is that sells it. If theres a shop by me that sold revo over giac, i would probably would have done that. but my shop sold giac, so i went with it.

Wow, you seem very angry at life sir. It has been covered multiple times but overkill haha

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ac%20vs%20revo

Read that OP, I will personally be going with APR for location reasons and seems to be the better choice. I might go with REVO if they were close because of the customization their tune offers but they are 6 hours away at the closest.

I've noticed the language on here has become very vulgar all of a sudden, no need.

language on forums has always been vulgar my friend, not sure how long you have been around here but nothing has changed.

My life is actually pretty fucking awesome but thanks for your concern.

I answered his question but told him you will never get a non biased reaction from people on this forum, or most forums for that matter.

I have seen the way some people respond to these types of posts and i thought i was being okay, but i guess not okay enough for you.

I am critical but still constructive. Cant say that for most on here.

The new crop of posters must be really young or just insanely lazy. It would take just as long to search, read through the searched posts and formulate an educated question then it does to just post. Lots of very incorrect info has been flying around the forum lately too so I warm any new member to be careful who they listen too.

    GIAC all the way

    This.

Anyone too lazy to search is not going to drive the extra hours to go get a specific tune from a different dealer.

Thanks for the replies. I've searched the web and I only seem to find a few forums regarding this matter. All they seem to put up is results from dyno charts and no personal experience with it. So let me rephrase, I'm looking for people's personal experience with the mentioned software based on the mods I intend to do in the near future. I am currently in Hawaii and I have REVO, GIAC, and APR available to me and travel is not a problem. I am just looking for the top software with the mods I plan on going with and which is safe for my vehicle. Any help would be great.

Pick one. APR you can change between programs on the turn signal stalk. REVO you can't. REVO will give you more torque and more tunability. APR gives you more basic functions.

I am GIAC b/c a)I trust in AWE and b)I like a tuner that uses GIAC

If I did it over I'd try unitonic b/c of tunability
