Audi A5 2.0T Carbonio Cold Air Intake Installed (GMP Performance A5)

Our project A5 (Click Here to see full thread) has received all kinds of goodies already and we recently worked with APR at Petit LeMans to test-fit a Carbonio cold air intake. The unit is made of gorgeous carbon fiber and finished in a high-gloss clearcoat. The units are arriving shortly and there is a limited supply of this first run.

The unit is a direct fit. It replaces the upper half of the stock intake. You have to remove it and the stock air scoop. Carbonio is the manufacturer and APR is the exclusive distributor of the Carbonio brand for Audi and VW. THe pricing is not 100% final but they will be right around $400.

They are available to purchase now. We have an order in already and as soon as they arrive, they will get shipped out. I dont have a 100% date that I am comfortable releasing however, we are the first to get them and the first production run will be limited.

Sorry, not yet. We only tested the fitment on our A5 and didnt get to take it home :(

Hey Art, they have not officially released the unit so its not yet on their site. The graphs are the ones that will be posted online and came from APR directly. Regarding the install, It is really simple. The top half of the airbox comes off and this unit replaces it.

The graphs that are posted were done on APR's A4. The unit is designed to work with any exhaust, however, gains could very with different systems.

I have not done any testing with the intake installed, we merely worked to get the unit installed to check for fitment. Once I get one here, have it installed and do some driving with it, I will be able to provide some feedback on sound.

Delivery update: I spoke with the new operations director at Carbonio today. They are finalizing some logistics loose-ends and hope to ship the kits in the next two weeks.

They are finalizing the pricing on the intakes. They are going to be around the same price as the previous A4 systems.

Our first shipments (it is plural because we had a bunch or pre-orders, thanks guys!) of intakes have shipped and are on the way to us! We will have them tomorrow. Everyone that had them on order will get them first and at the listed price at the time of their order. The pricing is now updated online with the official list price. We will have a few left over for stock but I am sure they will go quick so let me know if you need one.

We installe today the new Carbonio Intake from APR.

I need to send the pictures of a defect on the product. It does not make a nice clean fit like your pictures.
I have an Audi A5 2010.

Please be so kind to tell me who can help me fix this issue. If you ship more of this unit you are going to have a lot of claims.
