    Hello, I'm from b7 section.
I was wondering how long does the A4 last.
What are the mileage on your cars?

Well b5's and b7's are completely and totally different. So you will see huge differences in the longevity of them.

As for b5's, one of mine is pushing 200k, and I plan on driving it well past 300k.

To add to your question you should have people clarify which engine they have (1.8 or 2.8), what type of transmission they have, mods, etc...

I know there's a few people on here pushing 300K. I'm at 120K and mine runs like a champ.

I'd expect the 2.0T in the B7's to have a somewhat shorter life span than the 1.8T. They seem to have some extra problems. The 2.0T in the B8, however seems to have fixed a lot of those problems.

Of course this all depends on maintenance, etc. I've seen people cook 1.8T's in 60k from just not changing the oil. That goes a long way to making it last. If you take care of it, you can make anything last a long time.

As far as the cars themselves. The chassis are excellent. Galvanized body and rust-proofing processes. Just can't be beat for longevity on the body. Not at all.

    168k on the chassis

    18k on the rebuilt engine

    88k on the transmission

I know the engines are different, and it all varies by each person's maintenance.
Just wanted to see how long these 1.8t engines last

It just depends how well you take care of it. Things will go bad but if you do regular oil changes, proper cool downs if you're driving it hard, and thorough carbon cleaning at least every 2 years/ 30k miles. It could theoretically last 300-500k miles. With multiple turbo's for the 1.8t and chain tensioners on both. And lots of timing belts lmfao
