takes excess boost and reroutes it back into your TIP. Similar to a blow-off valve, but it doesn't put the excess air into the atmosphhere.
    Hooray for boobies!

the TIP is the turbo inlet pipe.

if your car is stock you don't need to screw with it. if you are running more then stock boost then you shoudl upgrade the DV since the s5tock one can't handle the 3x increase in pressure that a tuned flash does.

Thanks for the help. How come I see some guys who's cars are stock upgrading Their divertor valves? Is it just so their car will sound like they have a blow off valve?

reason to replace the DV on a stock car would be because the original one is damaged or you want to prepare the car for a flash. if you want more sound you need to change to a BOV, but a BOV on a stock car is like having a HUGE hood scoop that isn't connected to anything. not to mention a BOV releasing 8psi would sound like ass.
