tire question

I need to buy snows very soon, on my last b7 I had dunlops winter sport M3's running the stock 17" 5 spokes. My new B7 is an sline w/ 18's, but dunlop only makes the winter sport 3D's in the 235/40/R18, Dunlop does make the M3's in a 235/45R18, Can i run this tire size for the M3's?? I much prefer the M3's, I've run them for the past 5 years and they dominate! keep in mind I am lowered on StaSis, and will be riding at about 25" fender to ground for the winter.

my stock tire size on my OEM 18" BBS are 235/40/18 on my S4.. i figured it'd be the same for the S-line wheels. i believe 45 is too thick for an 18" wheel.

i plan on running 235/35/19 Dunlop Winter Sport 3D's on my OEM RS 4 19" x 9" et 29 wheels this winter, haha..

Yes the oem s lines are the same szie, by too thick, do you mean too tall?? anyone runnning this size tire on oem 18's?

yes, 45 series is too tall.. try a tire calculator and see what i mean.

You can do it but you may need to raise the car, get a new spare tire and your speedo will be off
