My optima red top is secured down by the stock clamp that screws down with the 6mm hex, its in there tight and isn't moving around anywhere. I check it all the time.

If you see the bottom of the red top flares out a little and the clamp catches it right at the edge.

This is timely. Replaced my battery about 2 weeks ago and was confused by the lack of clamp. Anyway, does the clamp have a long bolt with it or does it bolt to the frame somehow?

There's a 6mm hex bolt that screws it down. You need a LONG hex wrench to reach it, and the front support brace gets in the way (for those of you with sport and USPs). This is my friend:

Oh, so the clamp goes at the bottom of the battery. Got it; picture confused me where it is located. Thanks.
