    Or just painted?

If aluminum, are the clear coated?

They are aluminum...brushed finish. It doesn't look like they ever had any clearcoat on them...

The doorblades for the c5's are interchangeable, a lot of the 2.7 guys I've seen have upgraded to the 4.2, s6, allroad blades. I myself with a 4.2 now have s6 blades and they fit perfectly. And I love the color contrast they give my car.

I would try to find someone with an a6/s6 that would be willing to trade first, I've see quite a few people looking for the aluminum doorblades. This way you still have the extended doorblades, but also have a prepared surface for painting, just a thought.

4.2/S6 door blades notably differ visually from allroad door blades in that the prominent profile of 4.2/S6 door blades continues right over the seam between the front and rear doors with a small wedge cut out of the leading edge of each rear door blade to allow each rear door to open with the respective front door closed.

The 2.7 blades aren't flat, but rather "flat-er" than the wide body blades. The RS6 blades are flat. I kind of want to get those, but I havent seen them on a 2.7 does anybody have a pic of them?

I really dislike the door blades on my allroad. My allroad is black, so they stick out more then they would on lighter colors. I've always wondered how a black AR would look with all the chrome/aluminum a dark gray color. Not sure if it would look good or not, but I really dislike the bling-ness of the chrome and how it contrasts with the black.
