    Cool Greetings!!

Saturday I completed the purchase of my 2007 Audi RS4 from a user in Austin, TX. For those interested it was the one listed on Audizine - http://www.audizine.com/classifieds/...7-2c500&cat=68

Monday I had the car at APR and had them add their ECU Software, as well as tour their new facility. Amazing place! Also enjoyed the B7 RS4 with Supercharger. Impressive. Tomorrow the rims are being cleaned and restored. Though there are a few questions that I have and am hoping y'all can assist with.

Tires - stick with the factory Continental Conti SportContact 3's, or is there another that y'all would suggest?

iPod integration - I've seen the kits that replace the CDC, but are there any other routes which are worth taking??

Clutch/Shifting - the car seems...springy. The guys are APR (thanks Keith!) took it for a spin and agree all is normal. I suppose it's just me learning a new clutch/shifter, but what sort of experiences have you had in good/bad shifting with these??

Oil Change - I've seen two different quantities listed. One is 8.5 qts, the other 10.5. Anyone...??

Already greatly enjoying the car!! Thanks for the input!

I do try. Jose had a great price and a truly amazing RS4. Few niggles here and there, but nothing that can't be sorted with ease. Doing the oil change Saturday and I'm pumped; plus a complete washing/wax/etc.

Between AZ and RS246, there's a wealth of great knowledge. Just takes time to sort though it all!!

Mine was stock with Pirelli P-Zero Rossos. I was pretty happy with the amount of grip on them. They wore super quick with some tracking. I'd say 70 miles of track time. (Which is actually quite a lot. I guess.)

No idea what you mean by springy but yes, they are a different shifting experience than anything else. Get a JHM shifter, you won't be sorry!

Funny, I thought it was 9.5 quarts!

I've had Pirelli's before and was never pleased with how quickly they wore out. Excellent grip though!! I'm leaning more towards the Conti's but am hoping for some feedback.

9.5 Qts huh. Oh this Oil Change is going to be fun!!

Are you continuing with the same oil brand Jose was using?

I thought he was running RE-11's. Great tire for summer like conditions.

Yep...same oil. Should be delivered Wednesday/Thursday. Filters are being sent two-day delivery now.

He does have the RE-11's on the car now, but they are getting a bit thin. Plus the speed-o is 5 MPH fast and I suspect it is in relation to the tire size on their now (275 vs 255).

That car was a great buy! I'm just down the road in San Antonio and once upon a time I owned a red RS4 as well. Enjoy in good health.

    Oh. Well OK then.

One less thing to worry about.

Based off the postings by Jose and reading the service history, it seems like SeaFoaming the engine might be a good step now. Anyone have tips, advice, or input??

On the tires I would reccomend the Michelin PS2's, best tire IMO if you have the money. Way alot less than any of the competition....

i liked my re-11's a shit load but they do have there draw backs like stiffer ride due to more rigid sidewalls, heavy and a little noisy. but if i had to do it again? id still go re-11, the grip would always make me smile too much haha
