    the fog grills definitely arent

i ordered some fog grills off ebay and they sent me 4.2 grills, i had to cut them to fit

my upper grill is about 30" across at its widest point
my lower grill is about 26" across at its widest point

I don't think so IIRC the hood is of a different shape in the grille area.

I want to say the pre-facelift 4.2 grill and the facelift grill for all a6's are the same. My pre-facelift 4.2 has the four bolts on the bottom of the upper grill, where as the 2.7's I've seen are the press in type. Just my observations.

4.2 grills have metal going across the bottom.

yes, there was a thread showing a DIY for putting an rs6 grill into a 2.7t. i dont think it was on AZ, maybe audiworld. There was definitely at least a link to it in an AZ thread.

i wouldn't recommend buying from the guy i ordered from, they took 5 weeks to come in and like i said, i ordered narrow body grilles and got widebody grilles... but just search for audi fog grilles on ebay and theres a ton up there
