if your fenders are rolled you'll be OK. my buddy is running 245/35/18's and has a good amount of clearance, the little difference in sidewall wont be that huge of a deal with rolled fenders

Go with 245/35-18. The 40 profile is nearly an inch taller than stock which really limits control arm clearance. I ran 245/40-17 and had no clearance problems. That was with Shine Racing suspension which is sport height.

Depends on the offset of the wheel in question. On that point, you will need hubrings as the newer model Audi's have a bigger center bore (66 something compared to 57.1 for us).

    You said a B8 S4 in an earlier post...guess you meant a B6 S4 if it is off a 2004 (or I guess you could have meant a "V8" S4 (B6/B7)).

No rolled fenders & not running spacers. I don't know why they rub. I had the Dunlop 23540R18 SP9000 & they didn’t rub.
Must be the Dunlop Direzza have a slight wider track.

If I wanted to run 255/35/18 on 18x8.5 wheels, would I want a +25 or +38 offset? (I'm looking at the Hartmann HRS4 wheels and they are only offered in those offsets)

I'll be running this setup for a while on the stock suspension until I can go Ohlins.

^^^^ You'll need the +38 ET with 5mm spacers, which will bring you back to +33 ET, which should be good.

The main clearance problem is with the rear upper control arms, that's were the spacers will help you.

Just think that the OEM b5 rs4 runs 255's all around with a widebody.

I'm running 235/40/18's with i think 5mm spacers up front and I only have rubbing when I turn right. And by rubbing i mean a very small amount , but it's nothing that i can't fix with a few zip ties holding the fender liner back.

Very stoked to see that 255's fit with rolled fenders....

I know of a local RS4 body conversion that was in excess of $10K and he only runs 275/18's.
