225/50 R17 Tires

Any one? A friend is looking for some 2007 TT wheels Offset is 47. Wheels are 17x8. I know best tire size is 225/45 or 215/45. For me 225/50 is a little bit tall. Is for an Avant Quattro too.
Please advice.

<running 225 40 18... thats a SMALL stretch and i guess you could consider it low pro? but 50 is a bit tall haha unless you plan on going on an offroad excursion
