ok so here in jersey front window tints are illegal and back window tints are legal (of any %). however, if your doctor prescribes window tinting due to very sensitive eyes, it becomes legal for you to get whatever tint you like all around. so my question is, does anyone here on AZ have that prescription? and what did you have to tell your doctor in order for he/she to write you the prescription? i want to tint my windows but my towour local police are sooooo strict with window tinting. even more than speeding belive it or not.

    TIA!!!!

your not getting that prescription unless you know someone or legit have a problem. Not easy to get. Im in NJ, have 20% on the front, have only gotten one ticket, and it was a default ticket the cop gave me to not give me the speeding ticket of 85 in a 60. Sounds like your town needs less cops if they're that worried about some window tint over people actually doing illegal things.

Prescription window tint? Ha ha ha, thats funny. And tint does not need a plural.... Tint, not tints.

Just go with a light tint, like say 40 and you probably won't have any problem, it'll look classy and almost factory ar that percentage. Don't do the two tone because it just looks cheesy.

I had eye surgery a few years back, and I have 13% on all my windows including the sun roof but nothing on the front window. It really dose help with my halo problem, and bright lights. I am waiting to here back from my doctor in regards to getting a notarized note for my tint. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

In Wisconsin it was quite easy to lie and get a prescription for it. I'm not sure about here in Colorado. I do actually have sensitive eyes to bright light (lighter eye colors are more sensitive to bright light), but my tint is just fine for me (and it's not black as night either).

Does this work in every state? I had eye surgery done and as a result I'm def more affected by bright lights, particularly at night. I'd love to have all around darks(well darker than legal).

^^ x2. I'm not a fan of the two tone either. I have 35% all the way around....not too dark/not too lite and looks classy and does not draw attention to your car.....here's a pic of my car to get an idea...

look your state up: http://www.tintcenter.com/laws some you have to register with the BMV/DMV and some you just need a notarized note stating you have some sort of eye issues.

Using "tints" for "tint" sounds like you are really ignorant. It's already been said, but c'mon, it is really annoying!
