I am probably the last person to figure this out, but maybe this will help one other person out there...
When I got the car, I was always frustrated that the radio presets saved as artist names or song titles, not the actual name or number of the radio station. At one point one line of my radio read 'Gaga Bad' and the next line read 'Killers'. I always thought the radio would read the "station name data" and save that. Heck, my service guy even said that "it is the radio station's fault for not broadcasting the data right". Well, both of us were wrong. Anyhow, I accidentally figured out how to fix this...
When you store a preset, the radio just saves the current line of data. If you see the artists name when you save the radio station, it will now show the preset with the artists name. So, the simple solution... Go to the preset screens, tune to a station that has an incorrect title. You are now going to re-save the station. Wait until the station shows the line of data and quickly double-press the main dial (the dial you turn to pick a different preset). It will ask if you want to save the station, press the dial again to save it. If your timing was good, you just saved the proper title to the preset. It is easier to tell if you were successful by turning to another station and watching to see what that new preset now shows.
Like I said, I am sure this is as obvious as the telescoping-visor or the gas-cap holder to most of you , but in case it wasn't...
