Removed rear passenger light to expose hole where antenna should be mounted. Now I didn’t measured anything I just eyeballed where I thought the center was. Then I placed the nail in the center and gave the hammer a few taps while my g/f pushed lightly down on the roof to not cause any dents. Once a small indentation appeared on the roof I them moved to the drill.
At this point me and my helper switched positions. I started to dill where the indentation was on the roof while she pushed from the inside of the car so the roof again would not dent.
After I got the small hole drilled I made sure it was centered. Again I just eyed it lol. Then I moved on to the step bit. I’m pretty sure the hole is exactly 3/4”. This was a perfect fit for the antenna with no left to right or front to back movement. At this point I applied silicon all around the outer rubber base of the antenna and a ton right around the screw.
I placed the antenna down while my helper stood in front of the car and told me if it was straight. One person then pushed lightly on the antenna while the other screwed the bolt on from the inside of the car.
And here is the finished product. I have not run the wires yet and I did this without removing the headliner. To run the wires for your RNS-E you’ll have to remove parts of the headline, and A B pillar trim pieces.
