Okay i bought the car not thinking anything major was wrong man was i wrong... i had to buy new motor mounts, brakes all the way around, new axles... i thought that was all the damage.. tonight im driving my car easy. i mean i was not taking it above 3500 the whole time and im making a turn and down shift and i feel a hard bang underneath the car. i released the clutch and i have no gear. i dont have reverse or anything. i stepped on the gas and it was like i was in neutral and even my speed went up... what could have happened. im so bummed out right now thanks in advance

    Best regards,
    Sean.

Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone
bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.

If the speedo is reading then you may have a loose axle

just wasnt sure if maybe the clutch went , i figured since i replaced everything else on the car on the front end including a control arm kit w/ everything else, the clutch might as well be next. its like you cant trust anyone these days when buying a used car

Yeah, sounds like a CV joint blew out. If the ABS sensor can tell that one of the axles isn't delivering power it will cut power to the transmission so that you don't damage anything else.
