Does anyone else have a throttle body hose problem?

Ever since i got my FMIC installed my throttle body hose blows off of the throttle body quite frequently. I have a t-bolt clamp on it as tight as it gets but it still pops off under heavy boost. Does this happen to anybody else? How can i prevent it from popping off? I think i might either try using the stock skinny clamp or i might replace the throttle body hose with a hard pipe and put a silicone coupler on instead. Any input is appreciated i cant have this thing popping off on me anymore. Thanks.

    what kit are you running?

Most of us running higher boost are using T-Clamps with no issue.

I also put a zip tie in addition to hose clamp, no issues anymore

In my experience, I find the stock clamps were best on stock fittings. The t-bolt clamps are sometimes to wide to sit behind the flared end of the fitting. This causes a tight connection, but it has no ridge to keep it from blowing off.

    Hope this helps.

im running a custom setup with the stock throttle body hose. I feel like the clamp is too fat for the throttle body i think ill try the stock clamp with a zip tie. Thanks guys

Also if the clamp does not sit in from the edge of the hose it will work its way under and blow off. I like to leave about a match-head width of hose sticking out of the other side of the clamp ALL the way round. If the surfaces are clean there should be no need for worries or zip ties.

Also FYI if the engine is rocking back and forth bcs of weak engine/tranny mounts. The tendency to blow off hoses increases drastically.
