    Gas overflow problem...please helppp!

    When i go to put gas in my 2000 audi a4 the pump always stops and over flows when its even on empty. whyyy? its like theres no breather hole or its maybe clogged?

    The gas tank breather/vent may be clogged, mine was replaced under warranty a long while back. The breather/vent got damaged somehow and it would only let me put in a few tenths of a gallon at a time. Not sure how you would test this or unclog it without doing more damage.

    Back the nozel out more, need air to flow as well.

    You shouldn't need to back the nozzle out, there is a tank vent system for this. It obviously isn't working though. You should be able to disconnect the tank vent hose from the charcoal canister (make it vent directly to atmosphere) to fix this temporarily. Most likely the charcoal canister is clogged. I think you can disconnect that line in the one of the rear wheel wells, but I can't say for sure. I've never had to do it...yet.
