this is very strange for me to be finally posting this here. if any of you recognize my name, you might now whats going to come next. back story. in the last year or so i was contacted by a marine serving in afghanistan, at the time i worked for an air ride company called open road tuning (not anymore, i quit year ago). he was asking about a very quality kit for his b7 a4. i got him a decent deal and went from there. my dad has been in afghanistan twice now and was currently on his second tour during this time. there was a connection right off the bat because of this and i can honestly say i consider him to be one of my best friends. we kept in contact constantly over the coming months and tried to keep his spirits up in such a crappy place to be. upon his return he then told me there was a good possibility he would be deployed yet again, this time for up to three years. great, just get the car close to being done, and you have to leave her for 3 years... when he told me that i felt so bad. we went back and forth joking about him sending the car here so i could store it for him. then i got to thinking that by next year i will most likely have a family (been with my wife for 8 yrs next sunday). i currently had a jazz blue 20th anniversary gti on bags and that wouldnt cut it. he came to me with the idea of selling the car possibly since he wouldnt drive it for 3 years. thing was he said he would only sell it to me. so in a short period of time i got rid of the gti and just got the audi delivered today. by now you know who im talking about. dave rugen is now one of my best friends, it is truly an honor to now have this car with so much history in such a short time. this car will not change a bit. just have to finish the trunk, and finish off the air ride and im good to go. i want everyone to know that this car was not only special to dave and the PNW, but it has a spot in my life as well. so proud of dave to do the work and put up with all the ordering bs as he did. he finished the car just in time to drive it a couple short weeks. i cannot tell you how honored i am to have one of my favorite cars i have ever had the privelage of helping with. this car will live on, and you will see much more of it. im an owner that knows what im doing, i know the work and pride that went into this car and i vow to continue that. thank you to everyone that had a hand in this car, thank you to kyle for putting in time to get the car driveable to get to me, and most of all thank you to dave for again sacrificing so much for all of us, and trusting me with such an awesome car. ill be sure to update everyone with the progress.
old shot for now:
