    missing fog light wire

So at the beginning of summer, I drove through a small puddle and it blew a fog light out. broke the bulb. oh well. I procrastinated putting a new one in until yesterday. i take off my grill and reach behind the fog light, and theres no socket in the assembly. no wire hanging down. nothing. this is on the drivers side which is a lot more cramped than the passenger side. IT JUST DISAPPEARED! wtf? aside from taking the bumper off idk what to do. maybe take the headlight out to have a better view? any ideas?

If you take the headlight out, yes, you should be able to locate it
