    Code for EGT and now also o2

    I got a 17867 code for EGT sensor 2 implausable signal. Cleared it and now getting that code again and now also a 17521 bank 1 heated o2 sensor 1.
    Should I just try relpacing my drivers egt and hoping that o2 was being thrown because of it? These things are expensive. Also What are the difference in EGT to o2? is it location like front and back?

    I had the exact same codes and they just got worse. The implausible signal will intermittently cause the car to go into a type of limp mode where it will not make full boost. I also noticed that when driving at fixed throttle position on a flat road (i.e. no load change) the engine would fall off rpm as if I had let off the gas. I just bought and installed 2 EGTs from PureMS on sale and all of my problems went away. If you have any of those symptoms, then you will need new EGTs especially with the codes. X-mas around the corner - treat yourself now. Fall driving is outstanding - 45 degrees crisp and cool dense air - find some Mustang Cobras to defang..
