Engine Chatter, injectors? right?

I'm in that stage of asking a lot of stupid questions because we're new to B7s (see sig for other cars)

I know Direct Injection vehicles have plenty of injector noise that sounds diesel-ish

just want to make sure everyone else's chatters like mine, its pretty loud, cant hear it at all in the car but with the windows down or standing outside its pretty loud
