Post How to get more h.p. Out of 2.8q

Hello everyone, i have a 99' A6 2.8Q and was wondering what things i can possibly do to this beast to give me some performance increases without breaking the bank. Its not bad at highway speeds or right around 2-3k rpm for that matter but quite sluggish from a stop. Also i experience a rough shift when putting the car into reverse.. any help is appreciated, thanks!!

Intake, exhaust, chip will give you minimal gains. But probably not much. Only way to get much more power from the 2.8 is to supercharge it.

Honestly, nothing. For the price of supercharging, just sell it and buy something else.

not much available for the 2.8, with a chip and good exhaust you might see 15-20 hp. If you got $$ you can put a PES blower on it which would get you to about 260 hp. You can probably safely add a 75 shot of nitrous. BillyEUPHORIA is pretty much on the money though. Or sell it and buy a 2.7.
