HELP stuck on side of road

I was driving, heard a pop, car wouldn't go over 2k rpms. Limped to a parking lot. Car starts for a second, then dies. I tried checking my fmic hoses but this goddamn license plate cover stops me from removing the center grille. Help?

If I hit the gas when it starts, it seems to stay on until I let the rpms drop again.

if you heard a "pop" and then it wouldn't rev for fuck all, you most likely popped off and IC pipe.

next time you tighten up those clamps, put down your purse and use man arms

also, unplug your MAF sensor, that should let you start it up and drive it home. obviously you won't be able to boost

deff one of the hoses, happened to me more times then i can count on my fingers and toes together.

Well now I know to carry more tools in my car. I could get to almost all the hoses but not really because of the headlights etc. None of them were obviously separated from the hoses so who knows. I'll deal with this tomorrow. My phone broke earlier today and I need a new on. Time to drink

Before I start tearing my bumper off, is there any chance it could have been my diverter valve committing suicide? If so I'll check that first.

Possibly if the boost side connection blew off. If it broke internally the car should still run since you would still be containing all of the metered air.

in anycase, nick was able to figure out how to work on a car without my help. found the hose on the pipe coming off the turbo had popped off, and is "the hardest one to get to" which...isnt very hard anyway...but hopefully he will beable to put down his purse, man up and do it himself so i dont have to sober up after the bruins (hockey) game tomorrow and help him.

ps- gucci is expensive thats why i didnt want to put my shit down during the install!

Right, it was a pain in the balls for me at least. I didn't jacks up the car/put it on ramps, so it was tough getting under there to put the hose back in place. Car drives good, but for some reason is only boosting up to 19 PSI, where I was spiking about 22-23 PSI before. I'll fix the boost leak I know about then maybe log the car and see what's up.
