Update: One week with my APR exhaust.

It's finally mellowing out and not as *raspy* as it was. There is ZEROOOOOOOO resonance or drone in the car except for low speed driving like when in a parking lot at like 1mph - 3mph. But even that isn't an issue because you spend no time there. I only mention it because I want to give total disclosure and let everyone know everything about the exhaust.

The exhaust makes itself known at anything above 5k inside the car and has a nice mellow exhaust note that I wish was present all the time. I almost want to drive around between 4k - 5k all the time so I can hear it. It's such clean, exotic and intoxicating exhaust note. At WOT from 0mph too XXX the exhaust has ZERO drone or resonance on the inside of the car. None, nada, zip, zilch..... you get my point. ;)

If someone wants a stock sounding exhaust that only makes itself known when you're getting on it, this is the exhaust for you. In fact I think it's actually quieter than the stock exhaust in certain instances. I know for a fact that the APR exhaust has less drone than the stock exhaust which is amazing inandofitself. If you're looking for an exhaust that is ever present and in your face, this exhaust is not for you. You can hear the exhaust note slightly when at part or half throttle if you take the revs a little high but if you're like me and commuting in your car, short shifting or in traffic, I doubt you'll notice the exhaust note much. It's there but it's very quiet. I like it because it's not there when I am putzing around and going to and from work BUT if the spirit moves me and I am getting on it, it's there and sounds wonderful. It's the best of both worlds IMO. If I had any complaints about the exhaust is that it's a little TOO quiet for my taste. That being said, I'd rather have this than an exhuast that I can't live with on a daily basis. BTDT!!

APR told me that after a couple heat cycles the exhaust may need to be adjusted since the metal expands and contracts. And since I don't like the way the tips are aligned with the rear valance, I am going to put the car up on my ramps and adjust the exhaust this weekend. Plus going up my driveway the rear exhaust bangs once in a while where the pipes go under the reaf driff support. Hopefully once the exhaust is adjusted, this goes away. I think it's just the angle I go at going up the driveway because that is the only place I hear the exhaust bang.

When the tips are clean they look nice but I will tell you that the tips get *sooted* up (is that even a word?!) almost as fast as your wheels get dirty from the brake pad dust... LOL! I'm looking forward to APR having the black tips available so I can swap them out. They look best black versus polished aluminum IMO.

Glad your happy with it as I like my APR exhaust as well.
I did notice a little drone at 60-75 mph with mine but maybe it is just breaking in-not sure.
Noticed a decent power gain across the band especially at roll-on and WOT which is more often now.
Sound is cool especially at higher rpm's but I wouldn't go as far to say it's quieter than stock though.
The tips are a pain in the ass to adjust as you have to keep adjusting the angle of the pipes and loosening and tightening the 15mm bolts on the clamps.
All in all,the system sounds better than stock by a big margin, makes the car more responsive(not placebo!),looks better and shaves a much needed few pounds off the car as the stock y-system weighs a freakin' ton.Worthwhile.

This is a key point. I'm overall happy with my APR exhaust, but there is a real drone <5mph. It gets way worse with all the windows open for some reason, to the point where it's physically uncomfortable. Only an issue in parking lots, though.

My stock car has the low speed drone but only with the windows down. The back ones especially.

thanks guys...just ordered SS setup yesterday after waiting around for diamond black tips.

They couldnt give any firm date when black will be available...maybe towards end of October.

I definitely like the fact it remains stealth at low rpms and screams when you want it too.

    In true sleeper spirit.
