Wierd noise when initial acceleration and reversing...help?

Over the past week and a half, maybe two, my car seems to be acting funny and it hasn't done this before...granted I just came back from deployment and the car kinda has been sitting with occasional driving from a buddy of mine for about 3 months. Anyway, whenever I initially accelerate from a stop, I hear this 1/2 second noise coming from the engine bay, and when I go in reverse it kinda stutters with the same noise, almost kinda like it's about to shut off but it doesn't. No CEL, drive is smooth, everything else is fine. I recently just had the transmission fluid flushed/changed by Audi, and shortly after that is when it started. Only when it's been sitting for a while does the reverse issue really shows, and literally everytime when intially accelerating....the symptoms are less severe I guess in the morning when I let the car drop down to 900rpm after it's initial warm-up rather than starting the car and taking off 5-10 seconds later..any idea, I hope I gave enough info.?

Is it kinda like a BROOMMMPP kinda noise? Does it sound like the motor is directly touching the body of the car instead of being isolated by the motor mounts?

I went through this recently myself. During hard accelerating in first gear, it would do this. Turns out my right hand motor mount was going. My stickshift seemed to move a bunch too, indicating that whole assembly was moving excessively in the engine bay. I just got it replaced, and have yet to drive it hard, so I'll tell you if it went away soon. Things are pretty tight in that engine bay, and it doesn't take much....

Sounds a bit like your issue.

Yeah, sounds like that. Small little vibration noise. I guess I'll go to the dealer and have them check it out. Is there a reason why it only happens for a split second when accelerating and not for an extended period if it was a bad motor mount? As for the reversing, I'm guessing it's part of the same issue.
