A stronger S/S Front CV Drive Axel for our B5 s4

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have posted this on AUDI SRS & was thinking you guys may have some feedback. (visit the site) http://www.ttvracing.com/ (Drive Shafts Link)

The guys at TTV EQUI-TORQ Drive shafts are equipped & prepared to manufacture a solid stronger S/S Front CV Drive Axel for our B5 s4. Anyone have a OEM Axel to send out so they can reverse engineer the from.

I or so bought the JHM EMPI axles but now I don't trust the quality. (Don’t throw away your money). At the moment I'm rebuilding the stock CV's (clean up, inspection, polish, new boots & Redline cv2).

But then I was thinking if anyone was interested in an option to replace the CV shaft with something stronger & more reliable in Stainless Steel (& Not from China!!).

You would think one of the aftermarket suppliers would take this up.

As previously stated TTV EQUI-TORQ Drive shafts are equipped & prepared to manufacture the CV shaft for us but they will need a left & right OEM Axel to reverse engineer the from.

$999, Are you talking CV Shaft axels only without CV's/Boots? You got some particulars/facts/Photos ?

Trying to find photos. I work @ 034 motorsport. They would be the same style we used on the 900 awhp a4. I believe its 999 for front axels. We would need oem outer joint for core. so 999 + oem outer joint. Good for anything you can throw at them. If interested pm. Dont want to get in trouble by admin for not posting on work account.

EMPI blew up on me on the highway, had to rebuild my stock axle. I highly recommend NOT buying them if you like your Audi and your money...

$1095. Same type of axles we abused on our 800whp VR6T B5.

Otherwise, OEM is expensive but they are fairly strong for most setups.

you can always give raxles a try, quality rebuilt OEM stuff that seems to work.

Don't get EMPI though since they are pure shit. I have a set that is failing after about 10k miles. One is vibrating giving my car a shimmy, either I bent it slightly or the CV joint is giving up.

Their clamps are made of "quality" china steel which is of plastic hardness and they routinely undo themselves causing slack on boot and grease splattering around. Happened on three out of 4 boots already. Solution is to re-tighten them but it only works for a while until the loosen up again.

Getting raxles in two days, sounds like I will have a merry christmas with new axles, shocks, spring and control arms!
