Welcome back home! Thanks for serving our country!

It all really depends on what you're looking for in a car. I love the B7 and have found new respect for the B8. The B7, IMO still feels a lot more sporty. It's a smaller car, but everyone has one in Denver.
The B8 is a great car. It is bigger, more power, and more luxurious than the B7 was. I love how the B8 looks and wouldn't mind owning one. Go drive the two and see which one you like the best!

I would go B8, but I still prefer the interior of an B7 any day over the new Audi look (interior) that has started with the A5...hmmmm get the A5 :)

I like the B8 looks and interior (sick of LEDs though) but no manual Avant is a big black eye on the B8 to me. I won't buy just b/c of that reason alone......but then again not all are Avant'ers.

I prefer the looks of the b7 (b8 is too big), but the b8 is an all around better car. Drive both.

B7: looks a lot sportier IMO

B8: fixed some of the problems B7 had, bigger, more luxurious

I thought B7 would get more votes.... B8 is just newer and improved, newer car, bound to last longer and be worth more later on... your choice man.

I think the B8 4's are ugly on the outside (especially the profile) unless you get an S and do some exterior mods. The interior on the B8 is far beyond what the B7 offers though. If you are going to get a B8 get a 5, those look far better inside and out. All imo of course.

I'm surprised at the votes for the B8 too, maybe y'all don't see enough of them. I loved them at first but slowly started noticing that I think they're kinda fugly and it's a growing trend with Audi. All their models (except for the 5's) are increasingly uglier.

I say B8. All in all it just looks like a better car. I really like the B7, but the lines of the B8 are amazing, especially when you get to the back.

I love my B7 avant, but after having a loaner B8, I'm sold on them. My next car will more than likely be a B8 avant.

The big win for the B8 is that they moved the engine back in the chassis. It is immediately noticeable and makes an important difference, the car is far more willing to turn. The seats are way better too.

If you seriously can't decide, then maybe the best solution is to start looking for both and just choose the individual specimen that best meets your needs. If you find a pristine B7 with all the options you want at a lower price than a comparable B8, go for it. If cleanliness is big for you, you'll likely find more B8s that are attractive.

Think about the options you want and start shopping. One will eventually call out to you.

the new TT's are 10x's better looking than the old 1s. The older TT's look like a VW bug but they did a good job with the new 1's.
Selling Nogoro blue Alcantara door panels. Will fit b6/b7 a4/s4/rs4. In great condition, originally wanted $600 shipped but dropped price to $500 shipped. Check my classifieds for pictures. I want these gone, will include extra door clips if requested. PM me if you want pictures of them installed or anything else I want these gone so make me an offer and we'll talk.

Forgot about those, the new TT's are very nice. Some people I know hate the departure and say the style isn't timeless like the older ones, but whatever.

    Get 'em both.

But in all seriousness, my vote would be to the B8. I'm driving one today since my car's at the dealer for service.

Albeit, they gave me a 2011 Q5 as a loaner, the interior is just so much nicer all around.

I still love the B7 exterior in direct comparison to the B8 however.

If you like the looks of both, then it probably comes down to if you plan on any mods. B7 is a more proven platform with more options/support and cheaper. If not, just get the B8.

Swap the B7 interior into the B8 and you have a WIN WIN. haha jokes aside i had the B8 for 3 weeks while my car was in the shop and i would go with the B8 but i did miss my B7. :(

Get the b8, cause its more powerful, more refined inside and out, overall better performance and less issues like cam follower etc.

Oops and forgot.........if you get a b8 make sure its a prestige or you wil kick yourself later for not doing so.

So what's the difference in the 2.0 engine that creates the higher power in the b8? I thought they were the same engines?

Mostly ECU tuning I presume. Not much more HP:11, but an extra 50 lbs of torque.

if you're in the middle, have you taken into account the new motor is a bit more powerful and the cam follower problem is redesigned? that would seal it for me if i were to buy a 2008 B7 or a 2009 B8.

i see,i see, damn 50 extra torque... but the b8 is larger and heavier i believe so it probably needs it right? im pretty sure you can make the b7 a lot quicker.

b8 motor is way beyond b7. The b8 uses chains instead of tbelts. Exhaust cam has solenoids that pulls the cam for timing varations. Engine sits more over the axle instead in front. Pcv system in b8 is improved. The engine plain and simple is more efficient then the b7 engine.

Yes thereare more mods at this time for the b7 but the b8 is still new and the mods are coming.

I have to say b8 seats are much better then b7.
