B6 with B7 RS4 Mirrors? Pics?

So I've been thinking about swapping out my s4's aluminum side mirrors for the titanium gray rs4 ones, but I'm not sure what they'd look like...if they'd actually look better.

Anyone done this mod and can post pics?

why? i have an rs4 and i prefer the b6 s4 mirrors over them... (except for the shape)

I dunno, those mirrors are much more rounded/egg shaped. Wouldn't look right on our cars.

You could always paint yours titanium to replicate the look. I'll trade you my OEM silver painted ones for your real metal ones. :-)

oemplus used to sell them. they were like 1400 or something outrageous like that. too much money for such a small difference. and they dont power fold

you will also need new glass as the s4 glass doesnt fit in the rs4 housings. another ~180

iconoclast, as far as shape, i'm thinking rs4's shape is more aggressive which is attractive to me. from what I understand yours don't have the power folding option, and that's really the only thing I'd miss (but not that much as I don't use it much).

speaking of painting them titanium, would you happen to know whether it's paint code 8AU or Y7P? Dealer says it's the latter, but forums say the former.

No doubt the mirrors are def. aggressive and gorgeous. Its purely personal preference man, same thing goes for oval tips and quad tips for RS4.

Yup, this guy...and I've talked to him about it (for other cars) and it's not an easy swap by any means...

Like mentioned above, I think painting B6 mirror shells in titanium gray and matching the rest of the trim to TI package would looks much better on B6 body and it's going to be much cheaper and less PITA ;) Besides, RS4 mirrors are way too oval for B6 shape unless you're planning to go widebody, where it might workout...just a thought.

reminds me of people that put the e46 m3 mirros on a regular narrow body 3 series, it just don't look right.

The mirrors are going to be the least of an RS4 owners worries if they get hit as I think that the fenders stick out as much as the mirrors.

Completely disagree! Folding option saved my mirrors twice where two cars that my S4 was parked inbetween had their mirrors taken out... On the RS4, probably doesnt make sense since the fenders are sticking out as much as mirrors...

Agreed. I never use the folding mirrors on my car simply because I find that if I'm in that tight of a spot, my mirrors are the least of my worries. It's usually the other cars or the concrete pillars (which I just drive around until I find a spot that doesn't require me to park next to those concrete pillars) that I worry about.
