I bought a a4 few weeks ago had some work done on it but with no recites . The guy claimed it had a new turbo only 1000 miles on it and few days into owning i realised it making a whining noise and starting to plume smoke when i stop or take off. its a k04-15 btw. What i want to know is he claimed the motor has a GIAC chip installed and tuned for the ko4, how could i go about and check because im curious.

Get a boost gauge and see how much boost is making or Check the ECU and see for yourself.

My boost gauge says when i give it gas like 24lbs but i don't want to do that again, need this turbo around till spring then ill replace it with another ko4. Ill have to look for the Ecu as well.
