call around and get some quotes...usually shops will give you a quote right on the phone. Otherwise im not really sure whats entailed in motor mounts...hopefully the motor doesnt have to get pulled...
Selling Nogoro blue Alcantara door panels. Will fit b6/b7 a4/s4/rs4. In great condition, originally wanted $600 shipped but dropped price to $500 shipped. Check my classifieds for pictures. I want these gone, will include extra door clips if requested. PM me if you want pictures of them installed or anything else I want these gone so make me an offer and we'll talk.

    Hi mike,

I have the 2.0T. I'm really interested in the Stern Mounts, I only see B5 & B7 at Pure motorsports?

2.0T motor mounts are a little tricky. Driver side is easy. Passenger side would be easy if not for a stupid heatshield. The heatshield is held down with a rivet, not a normal bolt. So you're forced to essentially rip the heatshield away from the mount in order to replace the mount. Pretty dumb design imo.
Take us about 1.5hr to swap out a pair of the motor mounts.

B5, B6, and B7 A4's all use the same Stern part, ST-B5-EMT02 (soft or firm).
    B6/B7 S4's use a different part ST-B6-EMT02

Having a shop do it ends up being more expensive than it should be, just because the amount of time it takes to do it. It's not a hard DIY to do, but it definitely takes about and hour or two to swap it. Not hard, just time consuming. And the turbo motors make it harder...you need to get creative to get the passenger side top bolt out (or at least I had to on my 1.8T)

Passenger side isnt too bad. Get a 13mm stubby gear wrench put it on the top nut, get a long pry pary postion it on the box end part. Hit the prybar with a hammer and bam the nut is free. Not just ratchet it off.

I admire you guy's mechanical skills. The furthest I went was replace a DV vavle. I'm still afraid to check the cam follower myself.
