    direction of air flow

    quick question should the arrow on the maf sensor be pointing towards the firewall or the front bumper...TIA

    If it's a 1.8T the MAF points towards the bumper and a 2.8 points towards the firewall.

    The arrow indicates the direction of airflow the MAF reads. The air needs to flow in that direction. You should position the sensor so that the filter is behind the arrow and the arrow points towards your TIP/Turbo. GL
