ok so i got GIAC chipped and i replaced N75 valve, and my DV to the Bailey motorsport DV. also i have a 2.5'' full borla exhaust.

how much should i be boosting? the shop told me it should get 19 psi but im only hitting and holding 10. i was already holding 10 before the tune.
i have felt an increase in low end torque and it runs smoother now, but im just not getting the boost i should??

any suggestions on why i wouldnt bee getting 19psi? i cant figure this shit OUT!!!

could my ecu already have a tune on it? just encrypted? im not sure if an ecu can have 2 diff tunes on it or not?

note: iv done 3 boost leak tests, and i have no leaks...

I was thinking that but i dont know how i would be able to check it to see if my wastegate arm gets stuck...

would it require taking the whole turbo out?

    Cat could be clogged too.

For the wastegate, you can probably check the actuator arm for looseness without removing the turbo. You can also unbolt the cat off the back of the turbo and check the valve there.

you should have made 6-8 stock....and what file did you get, whoever said you should make 19 was feeding you a line
method of boost leak? pressure? what n75 revision? smoke test for vacuum leak
as for walky talky's suggestion, a good indicator of a bad cat is overboost/ or around 4k+ you will hit a "wall" and it will seem to choke
boost leaks cause a rich run, and at certain spools will hesitate and seem to misfire
get a vag com and block specified boost versus acutal if you have a post facelift
specified torque versus actual if you have a pre facelift

Check the MAF. A dead MAF will limit your boost. To test: unplug the maf and see what kind of boost you get

I have a tune written for 21psi, on my stock turbo (non GIAC). And if the chip is written for 1.3 bar, then 19 is what he should be seeing (I believe the X chip is written for 1.3, but not sure about the others).

He may not get any boost with the MAF unplugged, and just trigger a CEL (happens with my car, but not all B5s react the same). He should have also recieved a CEL if the MAF was faulty, due to an unbalanced fuel/air mixture. But not if it is on it's way out, yet still functional.

I bumped this back up because I know how much people hate repetitive threads.
I have the same problem though with my giac x-chip, being the reason i was bumping it up looking for some possible answers.
