Its the 1-2 collar not the syncro but yeah, been there and done that. The trans that is in his car was rebuilt by and for Mike at VAST for his own car, that said, I don't think it was a crazy, special rebuild or anything. You got to pay to play and be willing possibly break if you're going to the track. Also, we found out later that he snapped one of the aluminum perches the engine are bolted in and that lead to a another trashed snub mount.
The 01E is why many people don't run fast times in the B5S4s. Lot's of people shift early in 1st and 2nd and try to ring out 3rd; big mistake. We found when he would hold 3rd longer, his trap dropped off a few MPHs. K04s no likey.
The goal of the night (11s/120 trap) was achieved and the car is still running strong, just in need of a little TLC. Both items are pretty easy to install in the grander scheme.

Great to hear, Tom! I'd be worried about high boost at elevation. 42lbers and MAF in now? 16-18psi sounds pretty solid for a k04, Tip at elevation. You've been really stackin up the miles. How was the last trip back?
