    AWE FMIC fitment help

I just got mine and tried installing but my crash bar will not bolt back up, it rides against the IC and there is significant gap on both ends where it's supposed to mate to the car. The IC is nearly flush against the condenser except for the small gap at the top from the hangers and on the bottom from the foam inserts that are provided by AWE to prevent the IC from banging against the condenser.

What's going on here? Is there a difference between crash bars, or are they possibly adjustable (there are bolts behind the end caps) and the gap for mine was shortened?

I had the same issue. one side of the crash bar would fit over the FMIC but the other side would just not fit at all because of the size of the IC. After about an hour of frustration I ended up just running it w/o the crash bar. Sorry man. hope you find a solution that I can use!

That's exactly what's happening. If I actually settle the crash bar perfectly flat/flush against the FMIC there is equal gap between each mounting bracket coming out the rear of the crash bar and the chassis where the bolt holes are.

I was about to hammer in the crashbar - the points where the crashbar comes into contact with the sides of the IC. it might work
