    Rear main seal (flange) replacement

I'm installing a new rear main seal (new flange from AUDI), and the bottom part of the flange does not mate up to the block perfectly.
There is a 0,10mm gap between the bottom of the flange, and the block surface (with the flange being sligthly "short").
This means that when i put the upper sump on, there will be a gap of 0,10mm between the sump and the flange. Will the Audi OEM sealant "seal" such a big gap?? Should i add a paper gasket in there?

I've already tried moving the flange before tightening its bolts, with no success. It is kept in place by two notches and it won't move.

    What should i do?
Could this be due to a bad resurfaced flange from Audi (i know that these are rebuilt parts)?

    please share your thoughts!
