Hey guys thinking of tinting out the tails. Pretty sure I would go 20% but I don't want to get a hassle from the cops. Anyone have any experiences or such that I can avoid having it done a certain way would be much appreciated. Thanks

Tints for tail lights are not usually measured in %. Lamin-x.com sells the tint, i would look for cheaper ones but thats just an example of what they are. They are much thicker than window tints and are more of a transparent plastic then a film. hope this helps nick.

I smoked mine. I originally had a film that was 20% then decided to spray them and go lighter. It looks a tad lighter than whats in my avatar now.

I have headlight armor smoked on mine they were like 50$ shipped i think. There the equivalent of 50% tint i think. I haven't been hassled about them.

In my experience from what I have seen people with tinted windows are bothered more than just tinted/smoked rear tails. Just dont darken the tails too much and you should be fine.
