Thumbs up H&R RSS Clubsport Coilovers - Inquiry

I have been considering upgrading my coilovers on my avant. After doing some research, I became interested in the H&R RSS Clubsport coilovers. They appear to be among the best available for track-worthy performance.

Problem is, they dont make them for our Audis.....that is, until now! I called them to see if they would be willing to make a set for me (thinking no way will they do this, or it will be rediculously expensive), and they just got back to me and delivered a YES! And the price was quoted at $1995 for the set with a 3-4 week timeframe to build and ship to me. The effective spring rates would be:

    Front - 800#
    Rear - 915#

I'm wondering if anyone might be interested in grouping together with me to see if we can get a discount on more than just a single set.

fair question. nothing wrong with those, but based on the information i've read including some comparisons, the clubsports are biased more towards being a high performance and track/race-inspired coilover. The majority of coilovers out there are designed to strike a balance between ride comfort and performance for daily driven cars, not so with the RSS Clubsports. My avant is not a daily driver, and I'm looking into setups that support a more aggressive handling characteristics. Considering doing some tracking next year as well. Not sure how clubsports would compare to the ohlins, but I am considering a set of motorsports as well.

I've heard great reviews from people who have actually used them in the R32 crowd and a few other applications. Any why not try something different. The price point is pretty good considering the alternatives.

I have more homework to do before I pull the trigger though.
