I have a 02 A6....needed to wire something from the engine to the drivers seat and was looking for a spot in the firewall to send the wire through but couldn't find it. Where is the hole? Or where is a good place to drill one?

Above the gas pedal to the upper right from the inside of the car. Should be a triangular grommet there.

Dre - is that the same spot for running a boost line? Bout to begin my boost gauge in 2 weeks!
2000 A6 2.7MT - currently gutted, a few parts left, PM me if you need anything.

Ok thanks, and how do I get to the wire once I've put it through the grommet, from under the hood.

You can use that spot, yes. I drilled it out and run my 1/0 gauge through there. *shrug*

Did I hear something about you using a passat column cover?

Remove the underdash panel, there should be 5 8mm bolts. Once that is out you can look up and see it.

Ok I get how to access the grommet from the inside but how do I access it from the outside, like when I open my hood, do I need to remove anything or will I be able to see the wire?

remove the covers closest to the windshield! to make the job easier, you'd want some coat hangers and maybe some silicon spray lube =)
