    034 Motorsport vs. Eurocode Test Pipe?

    a pipe is a pipe man. buy the one off ebay and save urself some money...

    Yep. As long as it mates up, there is absolutely no difference. Just a straight-through pipe. No internals.

    not true. how large are the pipes? 034's is X" thru and thru, while some of the others are x" except where it mates to the factory exhaust and then it gets downsized.

    so NO, they are not all the same. Recommend the 034 one. Great quality. I've a thread about mine somewhere...

    im pretty sure all the test pipes ive seen are all 3" but yea i guess the diameter will play a part, but 3" is the norm and wont find any much bigger, nor should anything 3" or more give anymore gains.

    I ordered one myself but found that the fit and finish with the 034 TP was not up to par. There was porosity and sugaring plus a pinhole from their tapping threads in one of the flanges. However, once I phoned in to ask about the defects, they were excellent to deal with and am now eagerly awaiting the arrival of my fixed testpipe. Should open the car up nicely!

    VMR getting delivered today!! install today(if it cools down enough tonight after my usually spirited run home from work) or friday. I was going throught the same question and searched to find that some discussions about 3" TP not getting as large of HP gains due to more turbulent airflow or some thing like that so 80 bucks to VMR I went..
    06 A4, 2.0 T, MT, APR Stage 1, APR Exhaust, RS4 Rear Sway bar, VMR Test Pipe and vent pod Boost gage, 10% tint, CC, Rev D DV

    A test pipe is a test pipe. I went with APR.

    034 TP and stock exhaust... The mic on the camera is bad, it's much better in person. It's not FARTY unless I'm in D (3rd gear for example) and I don't give enought throttle for a downshift...only lasts a second.
    The but dyno is very happy, boosts quicker and sooner and I can bet everything it's gained almost 10hp and a few torques :)
