    Brake Pedal Grinding

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So this is a bit annoying. Whenever I hit the brakes pretty hard, or go over a bump while braking, there is a grinding vibration that I can feel through the pedal. Its not loud but its very noticeable in the pedal. I've replace the rotors and the pads all around but it seems to persist. Any ideas?

Control arms loose? Jack the car up at each corner and see if there's any freeplay within the suspension components.

I, too, wish to find a solution to this problem. Same exact characteristics that you are describing. Never thought anything wrong until actually reading it here...lol

If you are braking hard enough you may just be feeling your ABS kicking in. You will definitely feel it through the pedal and also hear a noise as it activates.

Now that actually makes sense. I only feel notice the characteristics that the OP described when I am braking "just hard enough" for the ABS to kick in.

I didn't think I was braking all that hard but that does sound like a possibility.

Could be a faulty ABS sensor, or ring, or possibly even the controller

I felt it again on my way to school today. It seems that if I am braking when the suspension is under compression (at the top of the bump), I feel the grind. Not braking too hard either...
