do not buy turbos / performance parts in general off ebay if you want it to last more than 10 miles.

A BT build should cost 5X more than that. That alone should tell you about the quality of those parts.

were could i get a cheap but reliable bolt on?? i seen some k04's out there but wasnt sure if you actually just litterally swap out turbo for turbo.

K04 is a direct swap. Im not a 1.8T guy, and i hope they chime in, But im fairly positive its a direct swap. To take advantage of the K04 you would want to get the car chipped on a K04 File though.

Just get all the supporting mods with a chip. Ex.. exhaust, diverter valve, test pipe or hfc, suspension. K04 has little reward vs cost IMO

LOL, the second one is a "universal turbo kit", i think i saw a volvo in there. And there is no manifold in the second one.. so the first one would prolly be a better idea.

I would get the chip your gonna notice a good difference in power $400
ko4 front mount and a tune $1000-1500 for only an extra 30-40hp over the chip

I did the apr one from ecs because they offer free overnight shipping there and back so its only 3 day down time. Never road in a GIAC car but they're not much different the GIAC is a little more aggressive but I doubt you'll notice any large differences

You will be able to make good power with just a chip, or make even MORE power by picking up a K04 and a chip.
