Whos Got FMIC

Looked at a bunch of different ones but cant decide what to go with. I love the way AWE covers the whole area but for the price tag im not sure that is the best one to go with. Haven't seen APR's on their website and I've seen a few others. Who's running them and with what outcomes?

You had to remove the crashbar, right?

yeah I dont want one thats too expensive unfortunately like the AWE one and one I don't have to remove the crash bar thats not something I would want to do. But even for someone not going stage 3 is the FMIC really worth it ?

Did you have to remove/modify the crashbar?

^ it says on their website that there is no additional cutting or removal of crashbar so i guess not

CX Racing has two FMIC kits. One small, that fits underneath the crash bar. It's also thick so don't worry about it being small. And big one that requires removal of the crash bar. A couple months ago they stopped selling the small one, but it might be back, I haven't checked.

I will have the AWE one this Wednesday, and will be installing it as soon as I get off work and grab some PS fluid. Got a 4 hour drive on Friday so I'm a little excited to beat on the car.

is there a way you can post some pics of the AWE one and am I crazy for liking the blue pipes coming out the fog light area. I know its very rice but I love it instead of chrome or black

if you dont want to spend too much money, just go with ebay intercooler that was stated above. It's the same thing from cxracing.com. I got one as well, it fits nice.

^ How much did you pay for it, $500? So confused as why they sell it for so much less than CX.

i offered them as low as $400 but they wouldn't accept it. So I got up to $461 + $39 shipping so total of $500.
I was confused first too but after I got the kit and compared it with the ones on cxracing.com, they're all same thing.. Don't know why. same for less!

Went with TyrolSport B7 Dual Side Mounted Intercoolers with 70% Bigger core, They will give you a good deal on them with installation.
They have done extensive R&D and dyno testing on their intercoolers and must say they are a Awsome shop to deal with.

i have blue couplers becuase my fmic was used and those were the ones the guy sent me.....it does not look that great with quartz grey and i think in the spring time im going to swap them out because i dont like how they look

I have the greddy fmic. Not convinced its the appropriate size for our cars...i havent noticed any problems and i am peeking abiut 22 pounds on a good day but i feel like it might be too big, that small cxracing one looks awesome. Mine i had to take the crashbar out, but didnt need to trim the fog grilles like a few people with the greddy kit had to do
