a different kind of throttle lag

for about 30min i was searching the forum and no one else that i saw has/had the problem i have.

starting off from a stop in 1st it is fine no lag but when i let off the throttle and push the clutch in to shift (doesn't matter what gear just as long as you are at speed) it revs up about 300rpm from where i let off say 3,500rpm it revs to 4,000rpm and then idles down VERY slowly.

shifting between lower to higher let the clutch out press the throttle accordingly and there is a lag before it notices the throtle is pressed. like shifting into another gear letting out the clutch and not pressing the gas like that kind of feel.

now it does not rev up when i am decelerating it just holds rpm and then slowly idles down. if i were to rev match, it is a worse lag on the throttle then when accelerating.

it started doing this begining of sept. i took it to autobahn performance and it did it for their tech so he hooked the vagcom up to it and NO CODES and he said everything was working in the normal parameters.

if i had and knew how to use a vagcom that would kick ass... but i don't.. shit.

i did try that key on press the trottle wide open for 3sec. turn key off don't remove key let off the throttle then after 2min remove key insert key and start blah blah blah but yea nothing.

this is driving me nuts and i DO NOT want to take it to the dealer cuz they will charge me a few hundred just to look at it. any one have some ideas? im tapped.

*just noticed my cruise control is not working either. hmmmmm

*note has APR 91 tune and Forge dv since spring 2010*

your clutch switch went bad. There are 2 of them right at the base of the clutch, one that say its fully out, and one that says its fully in. This problem has been brought up before and one of the 2 clutch switches has fixed it. Do you have warranty? If so just have the dealer change out your switches, otherwise they really aren't very hard to change. The part numbers for my 2007 audi a4 2.0t non s-line are

    1j0927189f and 8e0927189b

Hope that helps, they are pretty cheap, like 17$ each and its not hard at all the change them out, just a connector and i dont even think there are any screws
Selling Nogoro blue Alcantara door panels. Will fit b6/b7 a4/s4/rs4. In great condition, originally wanted $600 shipped but dropped price to $500 shipped. Check my classifieds for pictures. I want these gone, will include extra door clips if requested. PM me if you want pictures of them installed or anything else I want these gone so make me an offer and we'll talk.

sadly im over 111,000km now so all work is out of pocket.

i tested the one on the bottom that needs to be pressed so it will start today. i put a starter in a few weeks ago and figured it might have been feeding back but it wasn't that the switch was working fine. i put a d1 dioode in on the remote start side to be safe. I didn't check the cruise shut off switch on top, i will go do that now. that would make sence for the cruise not working... i don't see how that could effect the throttle... hmm... any who i'll go check that now.

    *1 hour later*

good call makav3li my cruise shut off switch 8e0927189b is done! looks like im off to audi monday.
