    HID kit install question

With the easy install and good results of the HID fog install I did on the allroad, I wanted to retrofit the wifeys car as well BUT being a Canuck vehicle, it uses the main headlights as DRLs at reduced power as soon as you put the car in drive, and turns it up a few more % when you actually turn on the lights.

SO, the question is, how do you install a HID kit into a vehicle as such to ensure that the ballast gets the power it requires. Turning on the headlights by her each and every time is not an option, she will not remember to do that each time, nor will she care to do it.....so it needs to be as seamless as possible.

Will a power harness solve the trick? The car is a 2005 Chevy Optra, so wiring and coding will have to reflect that. But I guess any car with reduced power DRLs will be same concept.

probably need a relay tied into the DRLs power feed wire so the DRLs get full power instead of whatever low voltage trickle they get before the headlights are turned on... it'll be like your headlights are just always on

yeah could be that it requires constant 12v power and maybe a separate wiring harness is needed like this:

can anyone please confirm it this will work before I order it? I guess this could be a solution for other headlight DRL enabled cars as well.
