It's not really cheap that I'm after. I want the best for what I'm going for. I just order fmic, snub mount, timing belt kit and usp. After i pick a dv im going to get the revo stage 2. In one of the hundreds of theads I read someone baught a dv similar to the eBay one shown and said it was the same as a forge. After reading all the threads I have no idea which dv to get honestly, I just know everyone speaks highly of the forge.

    Unhappy

I've gotten cheap chinese crap on eBay, the 007 clones and the Splitr Clones. They are the same damn shit. I'll get hell for this, but that's okay. I can sympathize with a guy trying to save a buck or two.

    Just dont' do this:

you: "OMFFIFIG GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The nipple on the DV broke off!!! Then the metal shards got Sucked up through the intake manifold into the combustion chamber!!!! NOW I"M FIFKEKCKD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My engine is running compression: 90 130 48 165. WTF!!!!!!!!! Help HELP HEEEELLLPP!!!!!"

Yes your opinions are welcome. This is my first turbo car and I honestly have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to the turbo. Everything else I'm good. Like I stated above I just want to get what's right for what I'm going for which will eventually be a G28 turbo. With the dv I would rather put a decent one on there that way I don't have to change it everytime I add something. Not that it matters but I also plan on running it in reverse.

NAY. Just buy APR's R1 valve. Best valve I have ever used. Been running it on my APR stg3+ setup for 3 1/2 years now with 0 issues. AND, there is one in the classifieds right now for $90. No brainer...

HKS SSQV. Ran it for 6 years already with no issues. Serviced it once in 6 years. I opened it up to check that everything was still good. Then I pressure tested it to 80 psi. No leaks. Then I ran a vacuum test to see if both valves functioned. Yup. still good.

The OEM 710n dv is as good as any DV or better

I saw an test i time ago and the oem 710n valve were even faster then a good quality aftermarket valve...
And they are much cheaper then most quality DV

and this is just an thought... what about winter use? can an aftermarket DV of metal freeze? i dont think the stock ones do.. never heard about it anyway... but does anyone have any experiance with metal DVs freezing? or that lube on it gets thicker so it gets stuck?
Sure that the hotter air from turbo and so on would melt it, but on an cold start in the winter?

You get what you pay for. Cheap out and pay for it later. it sucks cuz our cars take expensive parts but do it right and generally you won't have any complaints.

That's the one I was referring to in my post way up top. It is a non-service DV, meaning you do not need to open it up and service it every year or so.

"Enter the R1: APR's R1 diverter valve addresses all of the reliability problems of the factory-supplied diverter valves and aftermarket replacements and takes performance to the next level. The R1 is a diaphragm-based valve. A diaphragm is the best option for a diverter valve for several reasons. First off, a diaphragm has negligible friction. Piston-based valves have considerable friction from the piston, o-ring, and bore assembly. The lower friction R1 diaphragm equates to faster response and better overall performance. Secondly, diaphragms do not require the periodic greasing that piston-based valves do. Piston-based valves must be qreased periodically (usually every year or sooner), requiring removing the valve from the car, disassembling and reassembling the valve. The APR R1 was designed to be maintenance free for the life of the product. Thirdly, a diaphragm based valve will never have a stuck piston. Piston-based valves periodically incur stuck pistons (especially if the required maintenance schedules are not followed.) Due to the lack of a piston, the APR R1 solves this problem."

Good Luck OP. Go whichever way you think will be best for you. Forge and APR would be my choices...
