Adjusting new headlights but WTF are those dots? Need help Asap plz!!!

I got new headlights on my car so now I'm trying to adjust them but WTF are those freaking 6 dots doing there? Each headlight is displaying 3 of them and there is no way to get rid of them no matter how I try to adjust them. I've used vag-com to level the headlight motors. They move just a little bit but don't help at all with the dots. Even when I try to bring the dots together they're still there. WTF?!? Even when I drive around the dots point into the sky or where the fuck ever

And why is there a slope in the middle of the woodboard? I can't do anything with that either. It either moves up/down or left/right if I use the manual adjusters. Shouldn't it just be and even line? And no the car isn't on a slope or anything like that. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU wtf is this shit?!

Please someone help me with this. What the fuck is this crap?

The slope is normal - the dots are special because you bought from the dealer.

there is a metal plate cut in the shape of the beam pattern.. yours apears to have some holes drilled in them.

This is not normal, and i have never seen this before. It really is bizarre.

Your shield has holes drilled in it for some reason. Return them.

Great info. Thanks that helps. I'll take this shit back. It wouldn't surprise me if they bought some ebay headlights instead of using real OEM ones... FUUU I have teh worst luck

post up a picture of your housing, maybe we will be able to spot something out of the ordinary before you have to bring them back. If not just as a reference for others :)

I'll take one of the housings out tonight and take pics. Both are identical and even though "they were bought" according to the bodyshop from the dealer, I don't think I've seen an Audi logo anywhere on it. It baffles me though that both of these headlights have exactly 3 dots... weird.

Oh, and I should mention that the idiot who put the headlights in the bodyshop managed to break one of the plastic tabs that holds the headlight adjustment motor in place...

same thing happened with my depo hid headlights. purchased them from a company called certifit. they were hid and not the regular halogen. if you look at the cut offs there will be three tiny holes in them. super stupid and strange i know. what i finally did to get rid of the dots was pretty easy. i took some black silicone and a q tip, dipped the q tip in the silicone and put a dab on the holes. lasted for about a year so far.

I know what it is, I had the same thing , You have 6 holes on the shield. I replaced my headlights and ended up using the shield from my original headlights I had 2 holes.

I cant believe they charged me for holes and didnt deliver.

no their not... shop worked on my car and the stupid fucking depo headlights they put in had those holes too, nor did they have the motor for the adjuster. if you take out the bulb and look inside youll see two the small holes in the cut off for the projector.
